Two Years of SokoSuite: Progress, Setbacks, and What's Next
Year two is done. Revenue is up. Challenges persist. Here's the update.
The Numbers
- MRR: $800 → $1,800
- Customers: 52 → 85
- Churn: 15% → 9%
- Team: Still just me
What Improved
Product: Major features shipped. Offline sync is solid. Mobile web is usable.
Sales: Figured out messaging. Conversion improved from 10% to 25%.
Operations: Automated backups, monitoring, deployments. Less firefighting.
What's Still Hard
Cash Flow: Revenue is growing but irregular. Some months are tight.
Competition: Bigger players are noticing the market. We need to move faster.
Burnout Risk: Two years solo is taxing. Need to think about hiring or burning out.
Wins Worth Celebrating
- Largest customer paying $300/month
- Zero critical bugs in Q3
- First month of profitability (September)
Year Three Goals
- Hit $3K MRR
- Hire first employee
- Launch mobile app (maybe)
- Don't burn out
The Reality
This is hard. Slower than I hoped. But we're still here. Still growing. Still fighting.
That counts for something.
